Summary
This gene encodes a protein similar to budding yeast Rrp15p. Rrp15p is a component of pre-60S ribosomal particles in budding yeast, and is required for the early maturation steps of the 60S subunit. The mouse genome contains at least one pseudogene on the X chromosome. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

RefSeqs maintained independently of Annotated Genomes

These reference sequences exist independently of genome builds. Explain

These reference sequences are curated independently of the genome annotation cycle, so their versions may not match the RefSeq versions in the current genome build. Identify version mismatches by comparing the version of the RefSeq in this section to the one reported in Genomic regions, transcripts, and products above.
