Title |
Role of Fragaria FaPRE1 in the plant development [FaPRE1-overexpression] |
Organism |
Fragaria x ananassa |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by array
|
Summary |
The role played by transcription factors in the regulation of strawberry fruit ripening process is scant. We have identified and functionally characterized FaPRE1, a non-DNA-binding bHLH transcription factor. FaPRE1 is a ripening-related transcription factor that regulates genes involved in cell architecture in strawberry fruit receptacles.

Overall design |
A custom-made oligo microarray (60-mer length) platform (FraGenomics 35k) containing a total of 35234 singletons corresponding to those sequences published in the strawberry genome project (http://www.strawberry.org). For each sequence, 4 different oligos were printed per block and four blocks were printed per data set. We have analyzed three control samples, a three samples of transgenic floral buds overexpressing FaPRE1.
Please note that experiments were carried out technically as dual channel (eg, Cy3 and Cy5-labeled samples hybridized to the same array) but processed the results as though they are single channel (Cy3 and Cy5 signals are calculated; Cy3/Cy5 ratios are not calculated). Therefore 3 raw data files for total 6 samples are linked as Series supplementary files and the associated raw data file is indicated in the corresponding sample description field.
