Summary
The ryhB sRNA is an antisense regulator of uof translation, which is coupled to the downstream fur gene translation; the fur RBS is occluded by 5' mRNA secondary structure, which is opened by uof translation (Vecerek, 2007). Uof appears to function in an indirect role to regulate abundance of the iron-responsive transcriptional regulator Fur at the posttranscriptional level.
