Located in several cellular components, including Schaffer collateral - CA1 synapse; glutamatergic synapse; and synaptic vesicle membrane. Part of SNARE complex. Is expressed in several structures, including central nervous system; eye; intercostal muscle; nerve; and reproductive system. Used to study autism spectrum disorder and epilepsy.
