Acts upstream of or within negative regulation of inflammatory response and regulation of macrophage activation. Located in cell surface; early phagosome; and phagolysosome. Is expressed in several structures, including central nervous system; ear; genitourinary system; liver; and peripheral nervous system ganglion.
