Summary
MicroRNAs (miRNAs), such as miRNA155, are endogenous noncoding RNAs of about 22 nucleotides that regulate mRNAs by targeting them for cleavage or translational repression. The primary miRNA transcript containing the mature miRNA155 sequence, pri-miRNA155, is also referred to as BIC (Kluiver et al., 2005 [PubMed 16041695]).[supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008]
