Treatment protocol 30 minutes with 5 micrograms/mL tobramycin
Growth protocol P. aeruginosa was grown in 10 mL MEM/2% LB until mid to late exponential phase, diluted 1:4 into fresh MEM/2% LB, and grown for an additional 3-4 hours to reach mid-exponential phase. Cultures were then treated for 30 minutes with 5 micrograms/mL tobramycin.
Extracted molecule total RNA
Extraction protocol RNA was extracted using the Bacteria Protocol of the RNeasy RNA Isolation kit from Qiagen (Qiagen, Valencia, CA). cDNA synthesis and fragmentation was carried out according to the Affymetrix GeneChip Pseudomonas aeruginosa Genome Array Expression Analysis Protocol.

Label protocol Labeling was carried out according to the Affymetrix GeneChip Pseudomonas aeruginosa Genome Array Expression Analysis Protocol.
 
Hybridization protocol Biotinylated cDNA products were hybridized by Affymetrix GeneChip arrays for 16 h at 40°C in a Gene Chip Hybridization oven 640 using the manufacturer's hybridization buffer (Affymetrix, Santa Clara, CA). After hybridization, the arrays were washed and stained the Fluidics Station 450 (Affymetrix).
Scan protocol The chip was scanned with the 7G AffymetrixGene Scanner (Affymetrix) according to the manufacturer's procedures.
Description The is part of a study of the effects of tobramycin treatment on planktonic P. aeruginosa.
Data processing Data was analysed using Affymetrix Microarray Suite software.
