Single-cell Multi-omics Analysis of Human Testicular Germ Cell Tumor Reveals its Molecular Features and Microenvironment

(Submitter supplied) Seminoma is the most common malignant solid tumor in 14 to 44 year-old men. However, its molecular features and tumor microenvironment (TME) is largely unexplored. Here, we performed a series of studies via genomics profiling (single cell multi-omics and spatial transcriptomics) and functional examination using seminoma samples and a seminoma cell line. We identified key gene expression programs shared between seminoma and primordial germ cells, and further characterized the functions of TFAP2C in promoting tumor invasion and migration. more...

Integrated molecular genetic profiling of pediatric-high grade gliomas reveals key differences with adult disease

(Submitter supplied) Purpose: To define copy number alterations and gene expression signatures underlying pediatric high-grade glioma (HGG). Patients and Methods: We conducted a high-resolution analysis of genomic imbalances in 78 de novo pediatric HGG, including 7 diffuse intrinsic pontine gliomas, and 10 HGG cases arising in children who received cranial irradiation for a previous cancer, using Affymetrix 500K GeneChips. more...

Validation Set for Prediction of Outcome in Adult Male Germ Cell Tumors

(Submitter supplied) This series represents expression profiles of 34 non-seminoma germ cell tumors (NSGCTs) from patients who received cisplatin based chemotherarpy for treatment of their disease for whom full clinical follow-up information was available. These specimens were used as a validation set to test outcome prediction models using a subset of previously profiled GCT specimens (see GEO accession #GSE3218). Keywords: Disease state analysis (good vs. more...

Pediatric malignant germ cell tumors: yolk sac tumors and seminomas

Analysis of yolk sac tumors (YSTs) and seminomas, the two principal histological variants of pediatric malignant germ cell tumors (MGCTs). Seminomas and YSTs are presumed to arise from the same progenitor cell. Results provide insight into the molecular basis for the divergence of pediatric MGCTs.
