The coding region has been updated to significantly extend the C-terminus to one that is more supported by available transcript and homology data. There are no full-length transcripts representing this update in mouse, but there are partial transcripts that tile across its length, and the 1910 aa protein is supported by homologous proteins, including human NP_065076.2 and western clawed frog NP_001120298.1. PMID:15451025 also presents mass spec and immunoblotting data supporting a 250 kDa protein. The update adds a C-terminal Rap/ran-GAP domain to the protein.
