The on/off dynamics of IFNß signalling underlie the therapeutic response to immune checkpoint therapy in cancer, which can be exploited to sway the clinical trajectory in favour of response Overall design: 144 samples, 72 from AB1 tumours and 72 from Renca tumours. Samples taken at 4 time points: 1 hour prior to checkpoint blockade (24 samples) , 2 days after (16 samples) , 4 days after (16 samples), 6 days after (16 samples). Equal number of samples were taken from mice that respond and did not respond to checkpoint blockade.
