Study: RNA-seq in putamen of Parkinson's disease patients
show Abstracthide Abstract
We performed RNA-seq on total RNA from tissue samples from putamen of the brain from Parkinson's disease patients. Overall design: Total RNA was extracted from tissue samples from ten Parkinson's disease patients. rRNA was depleted before sequencing. Samples were sequenced in duplicates, creating two paired-end experiments per sample. contributor: Harvard Brain Tissue Resource Center

Organism: Homo sapiens
Library:
Instrument: Illumina HiSeq 3000
Strategy: RNA-Seq
Source: TRANSCRIPTOMIC
Selection: cDNA
Layout: PAIRED
Construction protocol: Whole brains were slabbed and frozen at -80 °C. RNA was extracted using AllPrep DNA/RNA/miRNA Universal Kit (Qiagen; #80224). 300 ng RNA per sample was used as inpt for library preparation using TruSeq Stranded Total RNA Sample Preparation Kit with Ribo-Zero Gold rRNA Removal Kit (Illumina; #RS-122-2303).
