Study: The Probiotic L. casei Zhang Slows the Progression of Acute and Chronic Kidney Disease (RNA-Seq)
show Abstracthide Abstract
The aim of this study is to explore the effects of L. casei Zhang on renal injury Overall design: we orally gavaged male C57BL/6 mice with or without L. casei Zhang (Lac.z) and L. acidophilus (Lact) for 4 weeks (1×109 CFU per day) prior to being subjected to ischemia-reperfusion (I/R)-induced injury, and the mice were killed on day 5 after injury. Kidney mRNA profiles of these mice were analyzed.
Sample: Kidney IRLacz rep4

Organism: Mus musculus
Library:
Instrument: HiSeq X Ten
Strategy: RNA-Seq
Source: TRANSCRIPTOMIC
Selection: cDNA
Layout: PAIRED
Construction protocol: Kidneys were removed, flash frozen on dry ice, and RNA was harvested using Trizol reagent. Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer was used. RNA libraries were prepared for sequencing using standard Illumina protocols
