SRX3740998: MiSeq COI amplicon library of dietary arthropods: Parkesia motacilla fecal samples
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina MiSeq) run: 1,098 spots, 275,598 bases, 299,479b downloads

Design: Fecal DNA extracted from adult and nestling Lousiana Waterthrush. Dietary arthropods identified via COI barcode markers amplified using Zeale (2011) primer set.

Study: Arthropod COI barcodes PCR amplified from riparian nestling fecal samples
show Abstracthide Abstract
We amplified arthropod COI barcodes to generate detailed descriptions of nestling diets from 3 species (Acadian Flycatcher, Louisiana Waterthrush, and Wood Thrush) of Neotropical migratory songbirds nesting in Pennsylvania riparian habitats. We used this information to investigate aquatic prey utilization and resource partitioning in a community of breeding riparian songbirds.
