A taxonomic study is being conducted on Strain TL08, which was isolated from the human gut. The phylogenetic tree based on the 16S rDNA indicated that TL08 was belonging to the family Sutterellaceae, and closely related to Turicimonas muris YL45.Genome analysis has confirmed that Strain TL08 represents a novel species within the genus Turicimonas, and the species will be formally described.
