<P><b><i>Pseudoalteromonas tunicata</i> strain D2</b>. This is the type strain (D2; CCUG 26757) for the species. This strain was isolated from an adult tunicate (sea squirt - <i>Ciona intestinalis</i>) surface at a depth of 10 m in Gullmarsfjorden off of the west coast of Sweden by plating method.
