SRX318124: Embryo RNA-Seq
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina HiSeq 2000) run: 87.9M spots, 17.6G bases, 10.7Gb downloads

Design: Total RNA was extracted from the 12 embryos of White spruce (PG29) using Dynabeads mRNA direct micro kit from Invitrogen. Quality and quantity was checked using Agilent 2100 BioAnalyzer. The libraries were constructed at the British Columbia Genome Sciences Centre (GSC). The 350-750bp (average <500bp) fractions were made into libraries using RNAseq chemistry; GSC protocol SLX-IPET. Fragments were then indexed (GGCTAC), paired end, and sequenced by Illumina HiSeq-3 with a read length of 100bp. The goal of the experiment is to study the gene richness and composition specific to embryo tissue from white spruce.
