SRX318118: Bark RNA-Seq
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina HiSeq 2000) run: 108.2M spots, 32.5G bases, 20.2Gb downloads

Design: Total RNA was extracted from the bark of White spruce (PG29) using methodology from Kolosova et al 2004. Quality and quantity was checked using Agilent 2100 BioAnalyzer. The libraries were constructed at the British Columbia Genome Sciences Centre (GSC). The 300bp fractions were made into libraries using RNAseq chemistry; GSC protocol SLX-IPET. Fragments were indexed (TGACCA), paired end, and sequenced by Illumina HiSeq-10 with a read length of 150bp. The goal of the experiment is to study the gene richness and composition specific to bark tissue from white spruce.
