show Abstracthide AbstractThe goal of this study was to observe changes in microbial community structure in an acidic geothermal lake (Inferno Crater Lake, Waimangu geothermal valley, New Zealand) across two of its monthly recurring thermal cycles between 30 and 80 degrees Celcius. Water column samples were taken at 4 time/temperature points across two consecutive thermal cycles, and 16S rRNA metabarcoding was used to observe changes in the microbial community.
