Somatic coliphages are commonly found in fecal matter and can serve as a reliable indicator of viral contamination from fecal sources in recreational waters and as a surrogate for removal of enteric viruses through wastewater treatment processes. Here, we present novel myoviridae genomes isolated from raw and treated sewage sources.
