Design: Genomic DNA sequencing was conducted at Inqaba Biotechnical Industries (Pretoria, South Africa) with the single-molecule real-time (SMRT) technology from PacBio. The genomic DNA (~1 g) was sheared to approximately 10 kb fragments using the Covaris g-TUBE according to the manufacturer's specifications. Thereafter, the sample was end-repaired and the library was constructed by ligating the adapters with the SMRTbell Kit. Finally, primer annealing and polymerase binding were completed before sequencing on the PacBio Sequel IIe system in CCS mode with 110 coverage as per the manufacturers instructions.
