Study: Bronchoalveolar Lavage Fluid Metagenomic Next-Generation Sequencing in non-severe and severe Pneumonia
show Abstracthide Abstract
The aim of this study is to investigate the clinical usefulness of metagenomic Next-generation sequencing (mNGS) on bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) samples to discriminate non-severe pneumonia and severe pneumonia. We investigate the performance of mNGS on BALF samples from 100 pneumonia suspects, in comparison with conventional microbiological testing of BALF samples and final clinical diagnosis.
