Abstract
Two compounds have been isolated from the ether extract of Boennighausenia sessilicarpa Lévl. On the basis of physico-chemical constants, IR, NMR and MS, they were identified as shijiaocaolactone A (I) and rutamarin (II), the former being a new compound.
