The sample sizes for each trial are reflected in shaded squares surrounding the OR points. The OR range from 0.14 to 7.84 (pooled OR 0.89 [95% CI 0.63, 1.25]), slightly but not significantly favoring alendronate; the studies were not statistically heterogeneous (I-squared 6.5%, p=0.382).
