Abstract

The authors compare the results of a sexuological investigation in a group of 1266 gynaecological, married and sexually orgastic patients with a group of married gynaecological patients who during marriage did not experience orgasm during coitus. Statistically highly significant differences between the two groups were found in 18 factors. Based on an analysis of these differences the authors express the view that sexual dysfunction in the sense of "inhibited female orgasm" has a multifactorial background, whereby biological as well as psychological factors are involved.
