The technical principles of laparoscopic cholecystectomy are described from experience in 87 operations in acute and chronic appendicitis. The authors discuss the stages of the operation and the peculiarities of the technical procedures at each stage, and give recommendations on the use of the instruments and indications for abdominal drainage.
