Abstract

PIP: Vaginal tubal ligation offers clear advantages in the case of obese patients. It is particularly recommended when a vaginal operation has to be performed to remove a vesical hernia, because it avoids the need for a new incision. The technique used is described in detail. The author performed the operation in 12 cases, with favorable results. In 1 case it was difficult to reach the oviduct, but the operation was successfully performed by modifying the technique.
