Tubovaginal leakage: an unusual cause of incontinence.

Abstract

Incontinence after hysterectomy may be caused by an abnormal fallopian tube draining into the vaginal cuff. We report 2 cases of this condition, which generally is known as hydrops tubae profluens. One patient also had genuine stress urinary incontinence and the other suffered persistent disease after 2 failed suspension procedures. This rare condition should be considered in the differential diagnosis of unusual causes of incontinence.
