Abstract

A comparative study of the effects of LDLP-apheresis on lipids in short-lived organ culture and primary cell culture of human atherosclerotic aorta demonstrated that a fall in free cholesterol, triglycerides, phospholipids and cholesterol esters was largely due to reduced concentration of extracellular lipids.
