[The quality of life of elderly citizens in Kazakhstan (by the example of Astana)]

Abstract

The article presents the results of the study of self-assessment of quality of life of older Kazakhstan citizens. The differences between the self-assessment of quality of life of older people living in institutional care in the hospital and outside the hospital are discussed. The results show that elderly people who live in institutional care in a hospital, assess the quality of life is better than older people living independently.

В статье приведены результаты исследования самооценки пожилыми казахстанскими гражданами качества своей жизни. Рассмотрены различия самооценки качества жизни между пожилыми людьми, проживающими в медико-социальном учреждении в условиях стационара и вне его. Результаты показывают, что пожилые люди, которые живут в медико-социальном учреждении в условиях стационара, оценивают качество своей жизни лучше, чем пожилые люди, живущие самостоятельно.
