The role of psychological evaluations in occupational hand injuries.

Abstract

The benefit of including a psychological evaluation of a worker with a hand injury is that additional diagnostic and prognostic information regarding the patient is obtained. Psychological evaluations examine the emotional and social factors that can either complicate recovery from injury or aid in rehabilitation.
