Abstract

Presented herein are the results of clinical follow up of a patient with type I aortic dissection, subjected to two-stage treatment: the first stage consisted in prosthetic repair of the ascending portion of the aorta and aortic arch, the second stage being endovascular prosthetic repair of the thoracic portion of the aorta with a stent graft. The ostium of the left subclavian artery entrapped into the zone of implantation of the stent graft was occluded by means of the "Amplatzer" device.
