Cutaneous and mucosal blistering secondary to "huffing"

Pediatr Dermatol. 2013 Jul-Aug;30(4):e57-8. doi: 10.1111/j.1525-1470.2012.01823.x. Epub 2012 Sep 3.

Abstract

Hydrocarbons are a diverse group of organic compounds found in many households. Volatile substance abuse most often occurs in teenagers and younger adults. Recognition of the cutaneous side effects of hydrocarbon exposure by physicians is important because teens may not always admit to their abuse.
