Abdom Imaging. 2013 Apr;38(2):273-84. doi: 10.1007/s00261-012-9912-4.

Abstract

Background/aims: The purpose of this article is to describe and illustrate anatomic findings after the Whipple procedure, and the appearance of its complications, on imaging.

Conclusion: Knowledge of the cross-sectional anatomy following the Whipple procedure, and clinical findings for associated complications, are essential to rapidly and accurately diagnose such complications on postoperative studies in order to optimize treatment.
