Abstract

Absorption measurements on copper, silver, tin, gold, and bismuth in the spectral range 50-340 A were performed using the synchrotron radiation of the 6-GeV electron synchrotron DESY. The results are compared with previous measurements and theoretical predictions. A calculation of the partial oscillator sums from the available data gives rough agreement with the theoretically expected values.
