Abstract

An important service to health officers is this dispassionate appraisal of the practical advantages of vaccines. They are useful, but constitute no royal road to health. Aside from antienteric vaccines and the toxin-antitoxin mixture public health administrators need expect little help from the use of the bacterial vaccines that are known today.
