Abstract

At 120 K, the molecules of the title compound, [Hg(C6H5)2], lie across centres of inversion in space group P2(1)/n and are linked by a single C-H...pi(arene) hydrogen bond into (101) sheets. The same supramolecular structure is found at 298 K.
