The authors present the results of the 2000 and 2001 census of the human resources of the Iaşi County, realised by the Pharmacists Association. The results underline that most of the pharmacists are working in public pharmacies (69%). In the 188 community pharmacies are working 490 pharmacists, meaning a pharmacist/1707 inhabitants of the Iaşi County. Most of the actual pharmacies (75%) are small, with 1-2 pharmacists. Comparing the results of the two consecutive census it was observed an increase of the number of the pharmacies and pharmacists.
