Abstract

The insertion of a dynamic hip screw requires assessment of the native angle of the femoral neck. The two commonly used angles of DHS insertion are 135 and 150 degrees. We present a simple way of judging whether a 135 or 150 degrees angle plate is more suitable in the preoperative plan by using one or two sheets of A4 or letter paper, respectively.
