Abstract

Metastatic skin signet-ring cell carcinoma originating from stomach or colon is rare. We reported a 45-year-old male who underwent abdominoperineal resection for an advanced rectal signet-ring cell carcinoma which developed multiple skin metastases in the scalp, face, neck, back and abdomen despite adjuvant chemotherapy performed postoperatively. He died from lung metastases 15 months after resection of the primary rectal tumor.
