PIP: Some preliminary forecasts for the population of the province of Quebec from 1981 to 2001 are presented. These forecasts have been developed by the Statistical Bureau of Quebec and take into account recent trends in fertility, mortality, and migration. A series of multi-regional projections currently being developed for the province is also described.
