Earache, tinnitus, dizziness and hearing loss are frequent complaints of patients with temporomandibular disorder (TMD). Certain patients, therefore, have to be examined by an otolaryngologist. All ear symptoms have to be meticulously described and evaluated by audiometry and vestibular examination. This is obligatory for the evaluation of treatment results and further exploration of the possible relation between these complaints and TMD.
