Ethnobotany and the future of conservation.

Ethnobotany is an interdisciplinary science, where botany meets anthropology in the study of traditional uses of native plants. How can traditional knowledge and practices help modern conservation and ecology, and how can the possessors of this knowledge retain their rights?
