On January 9, 1982 St. Francis Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, closed the doors of its old hospital and moved into a newly constructed facility to be shared with St. George Hospital, also of Cincinnati. This move was the culmination of almost ten years of planning by a Joint Long-Range Planning Committee. This article will detail the processes involved in planning the move, the move itself, and the problems encountered after the move.
