Please describe the update you are requesting

  • Please describe the data error, update request, or your question about RefSeq or Gene data in the box below. If you are asking about FTP files, please include the ftp site directory path and file name.
  • If you are submitting a Gene Summary:
    • Gene summary guidelines:
      • Gene Summaries should be a single paragraph, in ASCII text, avoid any embedded HTML or text formatting.
      • The text should be approximately 100 to 200 words (500 to 1000 characters) in length. Examples: OAZ3, BRCA1, APOE
      • The text should provide a brief summary of the gene function at an introductory level.
    • Please include your Contact information above so we can acknowledge your contribution, and so we can contact you should we have any questions.
    • RefSeq curator staff will review submitted text. Text may be revised slightly to correct typographical or grammatical problems. If multiple submissions are received for the same gene we may elect to not use one of the submissions, or we may elect to merge two submissions.
    • Credit will be provided in the form "[provided by contact_name, month year]" appended to the summary text.
