Stratified analysis examining the association between ambient residential ultraviolet radiation (UVR) exposure (continuous, scaled by 33.7 biological damage per square meter [BD/m²]) and mortality outcomes by sex. Cox regression models were adjusted for the following covariates: age at study entry; body mass index; caloric intake; intake of fruit, vegetables, and red and white meat; alcohol consumption; tobacco smoking; educational level; physical activity; median household income; and hypertension.
