Comparing tests in GTR

Selecting tests for comparison

From the search results page, GTR users can now add between 2 to 5 tests to a list for comparison.

  1. Starting from the search results page, click the 'compare icon' to add a test the comparison list. Click the icon again to remove a test from the comparison list.

  1. Once you have completed your selection, click the 'Compare tests' button to see the lists of tests to compare. You can remove tests from the list here by clicking the 'Delete' icon. Then click 'Show Comparison'. The comparison page will display.

Note: You can add tests to the compare list from search results obtained via multiple search queries as long as you use the same browser tab. If you change browser tabs, your selection will not be preserved.

The comparison page shows a tabular view of the tests arranged side by side for comparison. It has the following features:

  • The comparison is shown in a tabular view with tests in columns and test fields in rows.
  • The static header allows you to maintain a reference to the test as you scroll down to different sections of the test.
  • You can expand or collapse sections.
  • Common terms are highlighted.
  • For tests that have a large number of conditions and genes, scrollbars are used to make it easier to compare columns.

For the compare tool in mobile view, each cell becomes a row and the test meta is included for reference.
