Extraction of genomic DNA from blood was performed using proteinase K and repeated phenol-chloroform extraction. The DNA samples were purified with ZR 96 well DNA clean up kit supplied by zymo research. The elution is done twice with 40+30 ul respectively

DNA quality is checked by Picogreen a dye very specific for binding DNA, Quality check is done by UV spectrophotometer at 260/280 ratio.After the quantification the samples are normalized to 50ng/ul (12ul). A gel check is also performed to check the normalization on 0.8% Agarose Gel.

Scanning is done with in 72 hrs after the process is completed.BeadChip positions in the scanner is noted down.
