Description Livers from 330 F2 female and male mice (animals fed a high fat "Western" diet from 8-24 weeks of age.) C57BL/J6 and C3H/HeJ on ApoE null backgrounds. All sample were compared to a common pool created from equal portions of RNA from each of the samples.
Data processing Arrays were quantified on the basis of spot intensity relative to background (Qhyb program, Rosetta), adjusted for experimental variation between arrays using average intensity over multiple channels, and fitted to an error model to determine significance (type I error). Gene expression is reported as the ratio of the mean log10 intensity (mlratio) relative to the pool derived from 150 mice randomly selected from the F2 population. Normalized values are the reported as the ratio of the mlratio relative to the pool.
