| Growth protocol |
Adult mouse cardiomyocytes were isolated using collagenase-II in langendorff perfused hearts. Cells were plated on laminin-treated dishes for 2 hours in the presence of 5% FBS to allow attachment to surface. Then the cells were cultured in serum free MEM medium supplemented with 1% 100X (Insulin-Transferrin-Selenium), 1% 100XL-glutamin, 1% 100X P/S, Blebbistatin 25uM, BSA 0.2%, 10mM Hepes, 1.6mM NaHCO3, 100uM 2-Mercaptoethanol.

| Extraction protocol |
Cells were harvested 48 hours after virus infection. RNA was extracted using RNeasy (Qiagen, Catalog #74104). Total RNA was treated with DNASE-I (New England Biolabs, Catalog #M0303S) to eliminate genomic DNA and then cleaned using RNA cleanup Kit (Qiagen, Catalog #74204).
