A fetal blood sample (0.2-2 ml) was collected from the umbilical cord into two EDTA-containing tubes after the delivery of the baby and before placental removal. The placental sampled area was taken from the midway between the point of cord insertion into the placenta and the placental circumference. DNA extraction was performed according to standard protocols(Qiagen kit). RRBS libraries were prepared as described (Boyle, P. et al. 2012)
